Find Help. Discover Hope. Experience Healing. That's the purpose of DivorceCare® at FBCCH. Unless you've been there, it's hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. That's why many of your friends and family don't fully understand what you are going through and they don't know how to best help you.  At FBCCH, we do.  DivorceCare® groups are led by people who have been through a divorce and successfully rebuilt their lives. They understand how you feel because they've walked in your shoes. They will walk with you and show you how to deal with the hurt that has been caused by your separation or divorce.

DivorceCare® is a support group that meets weekly. You'll find it to be a warm, caring environment and will come to see your group as an "oasis" in an othersie difficult season of your life. There are three key parts to your DivorceCare® experience:

  • VIDEO Seminar - Dynamic and information-packed videos featuring top divorce recovery experts
  • Group Discussion - Small group discussion about the video content and the issues faced by individual group members
  • Personal Workbook - Journaling and personal study exercises that reinforce each session's topic (While there is no charge for the class itself, there is a $15 charge per workbook)

NEXT DivorceCare® Session: Sunday, MARCH 15, 2020 @ 5:00 PM

Barry Cummings is your DivorceCare® group leader and also serves as facilitator. Barry has been volunteering with DivorceCare® in the Shoals area since 2008.

When he was just 9 years old, his parents divorced and, after a 19 year marriage and two year old child, he found himself going through divorce. He brings insight as a child, parent and husband who has found healing, hope, and life  after separation and divorce.

Abby Tedford serves as DivorceCare® facilitator. She found herself going through divorce after 22 years of marriage. She discovered help through DivorceCare® and wants to help others who find themselves in the same place of life as her.  Abby has two children, Morgan and Andrew.
